When

Our regular hockey season typically runs from late October through the first week of March.

Where

All practices and home games are held at the Viroqua Community Arena, located in Viroqua, Wisconsin. This is our home ice and the central hub for VAHA activities throughout the season.

  • The arena features full-sized ice, locker rooms, and seating for families and fans.
  • Practice schedules are shared via email before the season begins.

Practices

Practices are typically held 2-3 times per week.

Practice times vary by age group and rink availability, and are primarily held on weekday evenings. Coaches will provide updates as the season progresses.

Games

The number of games can vary depending on the season. A typically season will include between 20-30 games.

Games are primarily scheduled on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), though occasional games may occur on Fridays or during tournaments that span multiple days.

Your team’s full game schedule will be shared by the coach or parent rep and posted online as the season progresses.

Jerseys

Game jerseys are provided by VAHA at no additional cost to families. Each player will receive a set of jerseys for the season, which must be:

  • Worn during all games
  • Washed and returned at the end of the season in good condition

Note: Players are required to purchase Viroqua Thunder Hockey Socks for games.
