Gamesheet for Parents

GameSheet is how the association scores all youth GameSheet has replaced paper scorekeeping for Wisconsin youth hockey at level U14 and below. Parents will be assigned to score games throughout the season and are responsible for understanding how to use the GameSheet iPad Scoring App.

There are two different components to GameSheet: The GameSheet Dashboard and the GameSheet iPad Scoring App. Parents only have to use the iPad Scoring App.

Team Managers will make sure that coaches, players, and games are created ahead of time through the Dashboard and parents simply load the games and use the Scoring App.

The iPad Scoring App is used to track shots, goals, and penalties for all home games.

Where can I access the app?

The app is only available on the association's iPads. There are two iPads: one will be in the score booth, one will be in the concessions charging.

If you have the first game of the day, both will be in concessions. If the iPad is below 25% battery, please return it to concessions, plug it in, and bring the other fully charged tablet back up to the scoring booth.

How do I learn how to use the app?

Your team manager should give you an introduction to the app at the start of the season. Additionally, there are tutorials online on the official GameSheet channel found here:

What do I do when a game is finished?

All games must be uploaded at the end of the game. If you do not do this, the game will not be officially scored. In order to upload the game, all 'errors' must be resolved. Errors mean that something required is missing. The most common thing scorekeepers forget is to have coaches assigned or referee signatures.

What do I do if I forgot to submit a previous game?

Games are saved on the iPad until they are submitted. If you scored a game but forgot to submit it, you can go back and open the old game and submit it.

When should we get coach and referee signatures?

Ideally, these signatures should be collected immediately following the game.

I forgot to get referee signatures after the game, what do I do?

We always want referee signatures. However, if this does happen, you can sign it instead, but put the word 'By' in front of it. For example, "By <your name>" for the signature.

What do I do if the referees for the game are not in the App?

You can simply add them by name if they are not found.
