Thunder Central is your one-stop destination for the latest news, events, volunteer opportunities, fundraising activities, important dates, and association updates from the Viroqua Area Hockey Association.
Our goal is to make it easier for families to stay informed by providing a central location for the information you need most. Rather than searching through emails, social media posts, or announcements, you'll be able to find current updates, upcoming opportunities, and important reminders right here.
As our association continues to grow, we hope Thunder Central becomes the first place families visit to learn what's happening, discover ways to get involved, and stay connected with the Thunder community.

π 2026β27 HOCKEY REGISTRATION
Registration is open for the 2026β27 season! Get your player registered and ready for another great season of Viroqua Area Hockey.

𧀠EQUIPMENT RENTAL & HANDOUT
π€ WHO: Players who need to rent hockey equipment for the season or Try Hockey for Free participants who need equipment.
π WHAT: Come get fitted and pick up your rental hockey equipment.
π WHEN:
β’ Registered Team Players: Sept. 29 or Sept. 30 | 5:00β6:00 PM
β’ Try Hockey for Free: Oct. 9 | 4:00β6:00 PM
π WHERE: Equipment Mezzanine, located above the bleachers in the rink area.
π PLEASE BRING A BAG to take your equipment home. Hockey bags are limited and go quickly, so a duffel, tote, or even a large garbage bag works!
Try Hockey for Free: Equipment must be returned after the event unless your player signs up for a team.
π TRY HOCKEY FOR FREE
Know a child who wants to give hockey a try? Join us Sunday, October 11 for a FREE introduction to hockey! No prior hockey or skating experience is required, and equipment is available.

GPS Hockey School is coming to Viroqua October 16β18!
Open to Viroqua Area Hockey players from Mites age 7+ through High School. Cost is $150 per skater, and space is limited.

Viroqua has been selected to host the 2028 Girls 12U Silver State Tournament!

We'll be welcoming teams from across Wisconsin to Viroqua for a full weekend of State Tournament hockey!
This is an exciting opportunity for our association, our arena, and our community. We can't wait to show everyone what Thunder hospitality looks like!
