2026-2027 Officiating Registration is Now Open
Whether you're a returning official or interested in becoming a referee for the first time, now is the time to register for the upcoming USA Hockey season.
Officials are encouraged to complete registration and seminar requirements early to ensure they are eligible to officiate games throughout the season.
Returning Officials
Officials with a 2025-2026 card and crest may continue officiating through November 30, 2026.
Beginning December 1, 2026, all officials must have:
- Completed 2026-2027 registration
- Received their new card
- Received their new crest
before officiating USA Hockey games.
New for the 2026-2027 Season
Officials who are 16 years of age or older and have completed their Level 1 officiating membership are now required to register as a Level 2 Official.
This new advancement requirement provides additional education and supports continued officiating development.

Registration Requirements
All officials must complete the required USA Hockey registration process, including:
✔ Seminar Attendance
✔ Online Learning Modules
✔ Rules Exercise
✔ SafeSport Training (when required)
✔ Background Screening (when required)
